My concept art was very much inspirered by gothic drawings, so I looked at a few designs of "Anime Gothic", where they look at a lot of black and reds with dark images, making them look horror like.
With my evil character, I wanted to make the lips two toned, which would make them stand out yet menising and horrible, I came across an image that helped me.

Only the Queen is not who she use to be, coming back from the dead caused memory loss and so wants to live a peaceful life.

Description
A summarized description of what happens in the game. How do you get from start to finish? This is were the character needs to find out where the Queen is to seek her revenge. There are things as health points that can be water, and her stamina needs boosting when she has been fighting for a long period of time – Which is fruit. There are weapons you can find or steal from your enemies, which you can upgrade by finding parts in the woods to attach to your weapons. There will also be villages to go through to find maps, which will lead you to your next level, this is where you can also buy weapons and upgrade them easier. (This will be more expensive) You get money by killing enemies or going through bushes. At the village you can also customize your character into an outfit of choice, there and also people to talk to, to find information or to have a general chat.
The game starts off easy so you get use to the game and how the character works. Once you have hit your first village and found your first map, things will get harder.
The whole surroundings are mainly based in dark and damp woods, this is where you get all your enemies and bosses. You can return to the characters castle for a free run to find helpful objects around the grounds or in the building. You also run into different villages to find information. You can either find people who are with you or against you.
The goal of the game is to get information and more maps to get to the Queen and get the characters revenge.

Steps on Concept Poster
First, I draw out the layout separetly - The characters, background and the path. I then put them together on one sheet and scanded it together, then I uploaded the picture to Photoshop for editing.
I then did the outline, I did a darker and more thicker line for the characters. A much lighter and scratchy brush was used on the background. This was to make the characters stand out the most.
I decided to first start with the characters, first with the "evil" character at the front. I wanted to start with this first as it's the character I want most of the detail on, as it's more forward. I stared with making the teeth look dirty with a gray colour and smudging it, with the gums a dark purple with gold smudging, the lips with black and gray fading into one another. The eye was coloured with three different shades of red, then I used the burn tool under the eye to give it a shadowed and gunky look. With the hair I looked on DevantArt to find more brushes that would be best for hair, so I found a hair straned tool to give it this strock effect, by using two different shades of red and black.
Looking on the "evil" character again, I have put some shading down. Next I concentrated on the second character and the background. With the character I decided on gray and black on the hair, to give the sence of darkness, I used the smudge tool for this - The "evil" character did origanally have the same hair, but after getting some feed back from other people, I was told to go for something more different. Soon as this game is based around "Snow White", I look at the outfit she wore and designed around it, going for different and dullier colours, but something more practical for running and fighting, hence the boots. I designed the hammers for one to be like wood, getting the idea from the Woodcutters axe, I mainly used dull greens and browns with the sharpening tool. With the other hammer I wanted the sence of something different and out of the world, so designed a glowing blue and grey hammer. With the outfit and hammers, I added shine for the boots and hammers to give it that realistic effect. With the background and floor, I knew I wanted this gothic/victorain effect, so used dull and block colours to get to that effect. I used the burn tool for the buildings more further back, to give the sence of darkness in the background. I also added a shadow for the second character to give it a life like effect.
Here, I decided to add more effect to the second character, and so added some shading around certain areas on the body, clothing and items.
In this shot I have gone back to concentrating on the "evil" character. I looked up some evil monster eyes for extra "wow" effect on the characters eye. With the image, I made it transparent and placed it over the eye, then used the dodge tool to make the eye look brighter and add shine. Once again I used the burn tool to go around the whole eye this time, to make it stand out more.
I wanted to go further with the hair on the "evil" character again, and so decided to do some experimenting. So I got the smudge tool, and slowly did my own strecks to make this sort of 3D effect on the hair. I then used the burn tool to make it look a bit darker, then the dougde tool to make certain areas brighter to give it shine.
I then went to concentrate on the sky. I want it to be set at night, so of course, this would make everything dark. So I did the whole sky a dull blue, then used a cloud tool with a deeper blue to make clouds, on the lighter colour, I used a small amount of the doudge tool to make it tool like a bit of the moon is trying to peep through.
Here, I just simply looked for a Gothic Font to use as the title of my poster. "Apples that Bite" down the bottom.
Then finaly, I went to find a picture to make the effect of the whole poster, which was a patterned paper which I fadded in. Then I made the contrast of the whole poster darker.

Completed Concept Art
As an overal evaluation, I am pleased the way my final poster as come out. At first I wanted to do for this doll like gothic theme, but then turned it to a realistic/cartoon to add more of wow factor to it. I could have improved my layout now looking at it, but many people have said that I could get away with it, it makes the poster more unusual. I also wanted to make it more horror looking with the evil character in the front. Now, most poster have the evil character hidden in the background, were the good character (Main character) is in the front, I wanted the opposite as my evil character is the main character, it's about were your alter ego takes over you, I wanted that effect to hit everyone else.
